I am very happy to announce WeatherWatchers.ca. What started as a simply utility to notify people of weather watches and warnings is expanding to offer more. You can still be advised of severe weather via watches and warnings as issued by Environment Canada, but now there's even more.

The alert system has been greatly improved to make it more reliable. I'll be adding more features as time goes on. If you have suggestions for more features, I'd love to hear them.

For those new to the service, its simply a way to receive emails of weather watches and warnings as issued by Environment Canada. The best part is, since most cell phone providers offer the option of an email address on your phone, you can get these alerts to your cell phone!

I just wanted to post a quick thank you to Telus and their tech support. A couple of users of Weather Watchers reported that they weren't getting messages sent to their Telus Mobility phones.

I did some digging and found that Telus was accepting the messages, but they weren't getting delivered. I contacted Telus support via email, and within a couple of days, Telus had found the problem, and worked with me to resolve the issues.
